NFL Draft
How many of you guys watch the draft telecast? If you do watch it how, he entire thing, just until your team picks or otherwise? I record it and start it about an hour in to skip a bunch of the talk talk. At least they finally put Chris Berman out to pasture...
I'm a Raider fan so my team usually picks in the 1st 90 minutes or so. |
I don't watch the draft very often. This season I'll watch to see what the Steelers do in the first round. They don't have a second round pick due to the DK Metcalf trade but if the right qb is available in the second round, I think they could trade up.
|
I try to catch the first round...the other rounds are mostly players I've not heard of.

Ya, me too. I look in on the later rounds picks of my team, but I'm only a 1st round guy watching as well. |
Will be a bunch of happy new millionaires after the draft. :)
"In the 2025 NFL Draft, the first overall pick is projected to sign a four-year deal valued at approximately $43 million. This value decreases as the draft progresses, with the last pick of the first round likely signing for a deal worth around $13 million. These figures include both salary and signing bonus, and all first-round picks are guaranteed four-year contracts, with teams having the option to extend for a fifth year." |
1st round is tonight at 8pm on ESPN

Well, the Steelers didn't take Sanders. That's a relief.
|
The Lions took Tyleik Williams.
Don't know much about him. |
I'm really hoping the Steelers can get Will Howard but I don't think he'll make it to the third round.

The question they're asking today is what hurt him more.... his name or his game? |
^^^ Probably a bit of both.
I'm surprised Jaxson Dart went in the first round. Of course, it is the Giants so how surprised should I really be? |

If I were making the choice, the thought of Dad, on TV every Sunday night constantly second guessing every decision, play call or personnel package, insisting Jr is ready to start, and the inevitable disruption in the locker room would factor into my decision making. |
I gotta admit, I'm surprised no one took a flier on him in round 3. If he is still around after round 4, there are some serious concerns about him as a QB and as a potential distraction.
|
I wish some team would take him soon. I'm taking a hit on the value of my DS Dawg Roller. :)

I honestly thought Cleveland would take him in round 3. Would have driven the price of that dog roller through the roof. Dogs for the Dawg Pound.
I thought Cleveland takes Sanders in round 3 and the Steelers take Milroe. Man was I way off. Cleveland took Gabriel from Oregon. |
Lions took Isaac TeSlaa...a 6'3" 225 wide receiver from Hudsonville MI (less than an hour from me)
Never heard of him. |
The only people that are surprised at Sanders not being picked are 1) the Sanders family, who are in complete denial of their kids talent and his complete lack of self-awareness and humility and 2) ESPN/sports media, looking to promote PRIMETIME 2.0 every week.
This kid and his helicopter dad are being taught a lesson in humility and meritocracy. Hope his "Legendary" draft room is comfy, he's been there awhile |
