Tomorrow morning at 5AM I embarce on a new business journey...
I'm building a private observatory for a customer, that I designed. I'm swingin' the hammers and gettin' the splinters.
I'm not a carpenter, nor am I an architect, nor an I an engineer. Yet, despite being none of those things, I'm gonna rock this thing out of the ball park better than any of them could. :D Jeez what did I get myself into... |
Dang Mike, I wish I was closer, I would stop by to help. Haven't swing a hammer in a long time. It sounds like a lot of fun. Show up some pics, will ya
|
Def following - good luck!

|
I helped a friend assemble a skyshed pod last fall. He’s now motorizing it so it tracks with the scope.
|

I dunno, for someone who's never framed before, I think we did a good job...
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1751687864.jpg 5am meant 7:30 at the site, which was avoiding 105 heat index. We're in Cat Spring This job is fun, but wait until y'all see what I'm doing NEXT week...6 days in New Mexico building an actual dome observatory... |
This is awesome! Paging Eric Hahl...
|

I wonder...are those trees destined for the fireplace or do they lie low on the East-West line?
