Loni Anderson

I was surprised to read that Loni Anderson has died. A bit of my youth died as well.

Two days shy of her 80th birthday :( I enjoyed watching WKRP in Cincinnati back in the day , she was very good in her role . And wasn't hard on the eyes either :D

Eighteen-year-old-me was filled with angst. Why couldn't I be blessed with a stunning, thick, mane of blond hair like Jennifer Marlowe? Later I learned Loni wore a wig for that role.

Chocaholic 08-04-2025 07:45 AM

And she wore it well.

The Synergizer 08-04-2025 07:57 AM

Yeah,
It was all about the hair...

Farrah Fawcett hair for me. And dorm poster.

Even at a young age I had a type. I was 100% team-Bailey!

Seahawk 08-04-2025 11:23 AM

Same for me.

The big three:

Ginger or Mary Ann

Wilma or Betty

Loni or Baily

Hard to go wrong but MA, B and B.

I will say, Loni had a certain something and a great run.

vash 08-04-2025 11:50 AM

Seahawk and i were separated at birth.

i align with his choices 100%.

vash 08-04-2025 11:51 AM

RIP Lonnie A.

vash 08-04-2025 12:29 PM

Yep. Leather was her younger sister and did that thing where she slapped her leg and pointed to someone. Pinky was former gf of the Fonz.

I am a font of useless knowledge.

The Synergizer 08-04-2025 12:39 PM

And there you have it

Joan Jett was influenced by Suzi Quatro's portrayal of Leather Tuscadero on the TV show Happy Days. Quatro's character, a leather-clad, edgy musician, inspired Jett's own rock and roll persona.

Saw Joan Jett in 2018. Great performance.

Bailey for me, and Mary Anne, too. High-maintenance and aloof is trouble with a capital T.

Super-cute, smart and fun on the other hand.....

Crowbob 08-04-2025 06:02 PM

High maintenance can be a good thing of you do it yourself.

Noamsayin?
