the second version seems more useful to me.
my neighbor the old lady keeps trying to give me her late husband's Lederhosen. I keep declining, saying, "hey, you do realize I'm a Chinese dude right?" I do however think I would look dope as hell. :D |

She looks hammered.
I might have to get one of those drill winches, looks handier than my portable baby winch which requires clipping to my truck battery. I see one at Harbor Freight for cheap. Pulls 750 lb.s and I see one that pulls 2,000 lb.s too. Much slower I suspect |
I always order two .... she drinks for her tip :D.
The one I posted is 1500 .... fully extended 40' ... much less at short distances... fine for moving cars on dollies, mid-rise lifts, etc. ;) Melikey .....it'll get a stuck Z-turn outta a bind too ... The wench might do other stuff too :) The winch is cheaper for sure ;) |
Berger and Schröter 31717 . At the price I can get more in a 12v self contained (but wired with remote) to a battery. Less than half of the lowest price.
It's cute though. |
It is cute ... and useful already... 911 is on dollies and hard to get rolling... under control. 5 eye hooks around my garage, and the drill winch are $150 back saver solutions.
I have bigger ratchets, come-a-longs, and 4>1 pully, etc. for outside stuff .... and I won't use my F-150 to get my Z-turn out of a ditch .... next time :D Plenty of CJ5 experience doing that as a teen .... |

Preaching to the saved here. Even with the metal casters on my old garage floor that was very smooth it was a nightmare to get it moving, and even more so to get it moving in the direction you want solo. Push the front, push the back, return to the front and repeat as necessary... With a second set of hands, and legs it was doable pretty easy, but alone was like a monkey and a football. I got to where I would use a pipe wrench to point the casters the direction I wanted it to go before pushing it. |

I won't be putting my life on the line with a cute, dainty, winch ... hanging by a rope.
A cute wench? I just might take that risk :D |
