Mid-rise lift for a 911 and Macan?

Without a whole lot of dilligence... I think the Bendpak is it, but then saw another vid for Macans suggesting another.

What say ye with both... like Glen and others?

Not needed for lifting anything else btw... thanks!

Are you talking scissor lift or 2 post ? What type of work do you anticipate doing ? How thick is the concrete where you plan on installing ? You may have to run a separate 220 line to feed the lift , any issues with that ?

Consensus seems to go to the MaxJax by Bendpak. My brother has one and really likes it. He installed his thinking he'd move it out of the way when not in use, but I don't think he ever has.

I'm happy with my Maxjax. Not a ton of height but I can roll around under a car on a stool.

My scissor bend pack was / is purrfect, for an air cooled 911.
IDK about today's modern stuff that have H20 cooling hoses and need replacements etc etc

I have a BendPak mid-rise scissor lift, MDS-6LP, in our current garage and we had one in our last garage. Both installed by me and both in-ground for a flush finish to the floor when down.

We have had our '16 Audi S3, '17 Macan GTS, '10 C4S Carrera, '15 911 Turbo S, '71 914-6, '18 Honda Ridgeline and '17 Audi SQ5 on them with no issues. The key is to check the widths of all of them to make sure you mount the lift ramps a correct distance apart so all cars are accommodated. I always bolt lifts down. Good luck.

I have a BendPak mid-rise scissor lift, MD-6XP, and the arms aren't long enough to lift my 2014 Cayenne without doing some sketchy stuff.

What color is the 911? Is it white?

Although I have only used one a couple of times years ago, a scissor lift scares the hell out of me.

I have a maxjax for about 6 years. I rate it 3/5 for a bunch of reasons. Don't hate it or anything but for a residential garage if I was doing it over again Id look closer at scissor style mid rise.

Portable Single post lifts look cool and compelling but don't seem that common as well

That's the one methinks Glen has ... just routine stuff on a 911 and Macan ... won't bolt it down, etc.

It's Diamond Blue Metallic btw .... not like Glen's

I had a Snap-on Wheeltec scissor lift and it was fine with the SC on it but I really didn't trust it with heavier vehicles on it even though it was rated for 6000 lbs.

For a long time, I thought my low-rise scissor lift was no good for working under the car's center.
I learned a trick and wish I had thought of it sooner!
I put one end or the other the lift, not too far.
I safety strap it so it can't roll off. ( This works better with brakes off on my lift as it goes up it does move fwd some)
Depending on the car, how far it can go, all have been able to get me under it: Jeeps, New Supras, and Hondas.

Glen must be washing his car ...

Methinks a Bendpak MD-6XP will be exactly what I need & want for both vehicles....

I might not even NEED one... but I'll still ask Glen first

Thanks all!

When the Costco near me opened in 1992, they had low rise scissor lifts and did the same thing if only changing 2 tires.

Its a Bendpack I believe. I bought it used from Les Shawb tires when they built a larger shop.
It is a very fine unit.
Simple
air over hydraulic
But I think they make them electric over, also

I would not consider the portable, BendPak MD-6XP. I bolt my lifts down.

I use my MD6XP On my 911, El Camino and my wife’s Macan with no issues, except I can’t raise the Macan up much as it would impact the light for the garage door opener.
