He makes the best of the best look mediocre. Stunning talent.

He's an absolute machine. I'm a Dodgers fan but I kind of feel sorry for the Brewers...they got rolled.

He is absolutely unreal. I feel bad for either Toronto or Seattle, the Dodgers look unbeatable.

As a life-long Giants fan, this is, for me, the "Tale of Two Teams" not London and Paris.

I haven't followed the Dodgers or Ohtani's career and was wondering what all the fuss was about this guy.

@Crowbob it wasn't the World Series, only the National League Championship series. Still very impressive.

He's going to be setting a lot of records during his career. It's really a shame the Angel's kept him under wraps for so long by not making the playoffs during his time with them. Seeing him and Mike Trout in the playoffs together would have been special.

Now we'll just have to settle for seeing him with Mookie, Freddie and Teo, along with all the other stars on the Dodger's team.

I have really enjoyed watching all the playoff games. I don't envy whomever their opponents will be in the World Series. I'm pulling for the Seattle team to come thru for their fans since they've never been to the WS, but I'm just not sure they can pull it out tonight.

This is where it get worse for me: Mookie is by far my favorite baseball player.

He does things in the field so phenomenally well that I wish I had just been average at. That and his attitude makes me happy for him.

Last confession: I have never been to better stadium than Chavez Ravine. First time was LL in 1966/67. Amazing place. Played catch with Wes Parker after a game in the parking lot.

Candlestick, a great football venue, was a bit of a mess: If Mays had played at Oracle...

I hope it is Seattle and the D's.

Would a salary cap help or hurt the competitiveness of MLB? The Dodgers legal department found ways to attract and pay players in a state where state income taxes are amongst the highest nationwide. Same for New York. Some states have no income tax which should give them an advantage, but this isn't born out.

Ha. Just saw a meme that in about 10 years, about 250 Hispanic kids are gonna have to explain why they're named Shohei Rodriguez. :D

Anyone who doesn't like Mookie, I don't know what to say...he's just everything that's good about baseball, sports in general and life. Did you know that he is a top nationally ranked bowler? You probably did.

I get the complaint that the Dodgers have bought a team full of All-Stars and as a Twins fan, I always hated the Yankees for the same reason even though their players were great. The thing about this Dodgers team is that aside from the unbelievable talent in so many of the players, they are also good guys...every last one of them. There isn't a Conseco or a Pete Rose among them...not an A-hole in sight. Mookie, Freddie, Teoscar, Clayton, Shohei, Keke, Tyler, Max...even Dave Roberts the manager, all Grade A nice guys and team players. Hard not to like them on personality alone.
