Doing a little sleuthing over the weekend, can't think of what this might be:

05-07 Corolla

juanbenae 12-07-2025 12:40 PM

Based on the headlight shape, 996?

I think you may be onto something.

Turn in your Porsche card, that's a 4 door sedan in the picture.

Looks pretty close but the Corolla has a hood edge near the top of the grille and mine seems to have one down b the top of the bumper.

Also, mine seems to have a more definite break between the plane of the grille/lights and the front bumper cover.

Best I can do on the detail:

See how the hood and bumper cover seem to meet where I have placed the blue arrow:

The driver's side headlight needs to be adjusted.

Mid 2000's Chrysler Sebring also have a very similar front end to that car. The rear window is more boxy too like your picture.

Thanks. Those have the same issues with the location of the hood edge. Also, no badge in the center of the grille, it was on the chrome strip at the top.

The Corolla is closest so far, just have a couple issue and don't know if they are real or artifacts of the poor image quality I'm dealing with.

The first thing that I thought of, but too big and wrong bumper line.

Chrome grill perimeter, hood to bumper gap, black side mirror, non linear headlight with the bump in the correct spot, round vehicle emblem and it’s a small compact….

The black line could be contrasting issue with the NIR sensor

javadog 12-07-2025 02:53 PM

It’s the closest match by far, probably as close as we will get with the crappy image that I have to compare against.

Thanks for the help.

Look at the w203, but i feel that’s what toy was trying to copy in that era.

javadog 12-07-2025 03:33 PM

A Benz would not have the grille badge.

No 996 hate here but I thought that was hilarious…. Runny egg syndrome…

Porch pirate or something worse?
