The hazards of skiing

At Lake Louise for my daughter’s ski race…

Right at the bottom of the course.

No worries...he's just looking for Boo Boo

Dantilla 12-20-2025 12:58 PM

Good thing she can ski fast.

herr_oberst 12-20-2025 01:00 PM

No worries, he just got up to pee; now it's back to a warm cave to finish hibernating till spring.

File that under "things I have never seen and didn't expect to see."

Wow. Interesting. And possibly terrifying.

craigster59 12-20-2025 02:39 PM

That dude can run uphill probably as fast as you can ski downhill. They are quick!

Very nice Billy, you must be very proud of her. Great times!

This one came out years ago, I think before AI came along not sure if real but scary!!

Give someone the camera, you ski down and slap that bear in the rear end and get it to go back to the forest. I know you can do it.

That's a Grizzly? I can bearly make out the hump on its back. I have seen plenty of black bears on the way to Jasper during the summer months but never a Grizzly. Shouldn't they be hibernating this time of the year? Must be global warming created by those bad, bad oil people:D

Humorous video, but I’m guessing if it was directed and produced, it wasn’t real. Or maybe it was

Well I mean, I did say that he just needed a belly rub…

Yikes! Doesn't seem too bothered by the activity. But, I guess when you are 900+ pounds of bad, not much worries you.

Have seen moose wandering across trails out west and at Lutsen in MN. Scary enough!

vash 12-21-2025 08:22 AM

is that a Wolverine? Bear? aren't they hibernating by now?

Cajundaddy 12-21-2025 09:29 AM

Looks like a grizzly. He is probably a little disoriented after being awakened during his winter nap. I hope he finds his way back to the den.

That looks like a grizzly bear. Uncle Billy could confirm that though. It looks like it has a hump so could be a grizzly. I have been fortunate to see a wolverine in the distance when hiking. They are small but vicious.

Cheers, Guy

unclebilly 12-21-2025 10:47 AM

Yup, definitely a grizz.

A couple runs over…
