Since I went electronic house lock, I realized I no longer need to carry more then three keys. The other one for my parent's house. I changed their lock too to electronic. Hate keys so now, its only one key. But a few times, it seems to slip off my fingers. I am thinking about hooking a key ring to it to make it easy to grab or have some grip

BTW…key chains with too much junk hanging on them can cause failure in the electrical part of the ignition switch. I’ve seen it several times in 986, 996 and Audi (same switch). FYI.

Doesn't have to cause only electrical part failure, happens mechanically as well. I ruined the switch of a Dodge pickup that way...too many keys, the miles of vibration took a toll.

They had to recall the chevy cobalts because they were turning off when people had too many keys and then the steering locked and brakes didnt work and they crashed into stuff

A couple I used to use. I've gone minimalist and only have car and house key on most of my daily use ones now.

I also absolutely despise keychains with a bunch of keys or other keychains attached, a keychain should fit comfortably in my pocket or I am removing keys.
When I drive my daughter's car, I take just the fob with the car and house keys and leave the rest. My daily driver has just the car key, house key, and the small key to my locker at work on it. We do have several keychains for our various vehicles but each keychain only has the necessary keys and thats it. The keys to the cabin are also on their own specific keychain as well.

With all the duplicates hidden on the rig, 30 keys total.
Race car uses a momentary switch, no key.

I just rebuilt my Cayenne Keyfob, that was very satisfying. You can see the new and old one side by side. I may upgrade to Kevlar panels soon :D.

I couldn’t carry all that. I keep the keys associated with the truck on a key ring inside the truck. For me that’s just the keys for the cap door and trailer hitch.

These were my original OEM GM keys for my El Camino. 30+ years of wear from being in my pocket and use had made them very thin. I hated the stupid GM decision to have two separate keys, one for the doors, one for the ignition.

I dropped them on the garage floor and the ignition key broke. I got out my spare keys and used them. Soon thereafter, the turn signal switch broke after about 380,000 miles. I had to disassemble the steering column to get the turn signal switch out, and removing the ignition switch is one of the steps. The old switch was very worn, and I could pull the key out with the engine running, so it was overdue for replacement. Taking apart the tilt steering column on a G body GM car is a real challenge. Several special tools needed, and it is a mouse trap to get back together. The old door key was so worn, I had to hold my tongue to the left and wiggle the key just right to open the door. That is not an issue with the new key.

I had already taken the new switch and the key to a local locksmith that actually has a brick and mortar building. He rekeyed the new ignition switch to use the old door key, so after all those years I now just have just one key to operate the El Camino.

For some stupid reason I offered to fix up my daughter in law's Matrix (maybe because the exhaust was falling off and I didn't want my grandsons to get brain damage)

She handed me her keychain with 5 pounds of keys and crap like gym passes (she hasn't been to the gym in years lol)

I said I'll just take the car keys off and give you the rest. She said don't bother, I don't need any of them. WTF?

Daily keys on the paracord strap, original 356 keys (door, ignition, trans lock, glove box, antenna) on original 356 fob (fob would've been from dad's 62 that was totaled or the '65 that the keys are for)

Though I think we've done this before, since I already had a pic....
