I actually made it past midnight this year.
My son was out with his friends and my wife was fast asleep.

I watched Fast Charlie on Netflix after the Flames game and didn't even fall asleep during the movie! Starting 2026 off with a bang. ;)

ahhh.. sleeping on the living room floor next to my trembling dog (fireworks).

good times!!! I think I pet his head for 2 hours straight.

The weather has been a bit weird. Some days hot then a day or two later cold. I felt sorry for all the kids going to music festivals that got rained out and turned into a mud bath. It doesn't feel all that long ago that I'd grab the surfboard, sleeping bag and a tent and head randomly north along the coast so I know how they feel.
