One last item of interest with the old fluorescent bulbs that I replaced.

What to do with them? Didn't feel right to just put the four bulbs in the trash cart.

I decided to 'double bag' the 4 bulbs in 30gal plastic bags all at once and break them so that the bag would fit easier in the container. When I had the top of the bag closed off the best I could, I took a hammer and with one swing broke all four at once.

Too much pressure in the bulbs...it blew a basketball size hole out the side of the bags and glass shards all over a 10 ft circle in my garage.:eek:

I rebagged the broken mess and swept up the shards....garbage man took it today.:)
