Out for lunch
After 3 weeks of solid rain, it was over 60F outside, I called an old friend and we both took lunch out instead of slaving in front of the PC for a change. We had the same idea as it turned out, took out the old girl for a spin (not the wives, the cars)
![]() ![]() You don't see either of these much on the road anymore - 36 and 54y old respectively! Just a happy pic... |

if you ever see a guy in a very vanilla Toyota Tacoma waving at you more enthusiastically than normal, that would be me. nice car...recognizable.

One thing's for sure, if you do see them on the road these days they stand out even more than they used to - which can't be said about modern Porsche's of any model. Ok, maybe a new RS still gets my attention, but new 911's are about as interesting as Toyotas.

yeah, not trying to be too philosophical here or anything, but we get buried in work/routine/kid pickups/cooking etc... I'm gonna try to make this happen more. Days with no meeting, call a friend, take the old car out to lunch... it really changed our day for the better, for both of us.
Ok so someone in a Kia cut me off badly crossing 4 lines of traffic and almost took me out on the way home, but those are the risks... The horn and brakes still work, good... |
