My fear of mice - reassure me

Seriously, tell me something factual that'll make me feel better.

I'm phobic of mice, and this is my bathroom tonight. I'm having the shower replaced in my old house. Somewhere over the years, someone cut a giant hole in the flooring under it. The hole isn't the problem. That'll get fixed tomorrow. The problem is my fear that hundreds of mice will be in my bed and nesting in my hair tonight. The guy covered it with some plywood to appease me, but there's still a lot of space for mice to get in.

It's springtime now and the mice are heading out to their summer habitats. We occasionally get a few in the fall but as soon as it warms up they are gone. No worries!
