Anyone else a fan of beef ribs?

I use to buy smoked beef ribs from a bbq restaurant but since I learned to smoke them myself, I’ve not gone back. My ribs are less fatty and way cheaper since I get them from Costco. My MIL loves them so I’ve become the family smoked beef ribs source. Though less fatty, I’m sure they’re not too good for me but once a month should be ok. Anyone else like ribs?

I have some short ribs in the freezer. I think I know how I'll prepare them now. Thanks!

I like them a lot.
I usually pressure cook them for 15 minutes...they fall off the bone then. Put them under the broiler with bbq sauce for a minute or two and eat. Yumm.

Which would you choose over the other assuming cooked just the way you like them?

Anyone can answer this. I have only had pork.

I like the taste of beef more than pork.....but the beef short ribs are always twice the price of pork around here.

Short ribs are better braised -or in a ragu, awesome.

Smoked beef ribs are a Texas thing and amazing. Aaron Franklin does his for 9 hrs, never had to go that long, but smoked for 3 hrs or so and wrapped and back in for another 3-4 and they're amazing. I prefer them to pork ribs, but both are yummy.

Beef back ribs are amazing.
If I am doing a big cook, i will try to squeeze in a rack of beef backs.
They disappear in a hurry!
Yum.

That's the way I've always cooked them. I want to try something different.

I used to get them all the time, until recently due to them getting so expensive. Would rather just do the $12-$15 pork baby back or st. louis style packs.

It's the dog that really misses them bones for chewin' on.

My favorite thing to smoke. Ends up being expensive and low yield compared to brisket, but agreed super delicious

Delicious yes! But very rich for me now. Last bbq, I ate one rib and called it. And I could have sold floss by the foot to my coworkers.

Funny I just cooked big beef ribs for dinner. Not smoked but in the oven at 300 degrees for two hours.
Some Worcestershire sauce and my favourite dry rub - awesome eating
