Why would you need a trailer? I may have missed something but the description talks about a lot of seats, not camping. Sounds like a dealer or flipper so the price is representative? IDK these things at all.

Fly up, drive home. Do it. This is a 1.

I just thru the first sentence out that formed in my brain. I admit, I could have said, "and buy a southwest airline ticket to Portland STAT?" didnt have the same mental ring for me.
![]() plus I have been looking at Delica vans and most of those are midwest or east coast.

Vash, if the timing is right, I'll pick you up at the airport, take you around, we'll meet up with John Liu if he's in town, have lunch or dinner, get you to the lot and send you on your way.

The ONLY thing I see wrong with that is the steering wheel is on the wrong side.
Knowing your intended purposes for it I'd say why are you sitting here on the forum and not on your way to buying it?

Sort of a 1 if you drive on the left hand side of the road.
Considering you are in the US? I lump ALL LHD vehicles as a 10. I really wouldn't do this. It could kill you. |

Sorry Champ but...
Vans like that have poor performing brakes (the rears tend to lock up) and the handling is awful. - That one being a raised 4x4 would be even worse.

Doesn't seem like a bad idea as long as what you get is in great shape. How capable is it? How will it do at highway speeds, and/or on trails up hills, etc...? I've never driven one. I'd have to drive one in a variety of situations. I assume you have.

I just don't know how much I think the left hand drive is an issue. Most of us are used to right hand drive, but we turn left and right and stay between the lines regardless of where we're going or what we're doing. I feel like there would be an adjustment period, but once adjusted, it shouldn't be an issue.

Fly up, check it out, if it "fits" buy and drive home. If not, get another plane ticket and know you went through the motions and made an informed decision.

Buy a gravel bike and join a club? I think you have retirement anxiety. Take some time, like a year to sort and settle. Don't make any knee jerk mistakes. Many have, this is not new.

I hear you. I would want to demotivate you. That thing is 31 years old and an oddball. And it's $27,000? You'd have the worst time trying to sell it.

There's got to be one or two closer, right. I know they are old, and probably rare-ish, but certainly there are some closer that you could check out before flying someplace.
