Time for a trade-in!
Four years and almost 70k miles on the SI....traded it in yesterday on a 2026 Civic Hatchback Hybrid Sport Touring.
It's a quick car with a much more compliant suspension. First hybrid I've owned. Takes a little getting used to. No sound when hitting the start button, or until about 45 mph. Fuel screen shows 52mpg on the 65 miles I've driven so far. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1777474460.jpg |
Good looking Honda.

I think Honda has really hit a sweet spot with the different body styles and options on the Civic. The one you got is a good looking car!
|
Thanks. The color is called Boost Blue and it looks a lot different when out of the sun. (darker blue, as you can see in the shaded parts)
It has leather heated seats and leather heated wheel...along with Honda's full set of 'Sensing Features'. |
Very nice looking car, great wheels too!
|
that's small diesel car mileage... nice.

The $1.20 diff between reg and prem fuel combined with the 50mpg make this a much less fuel cost car than the SI Along with that...this gets to 60mph faster than my SI did. |
Time for a big ass spoiler and camber those wheels!

How's the fun factor vs the Si?
When i bought my GTI i was also cross shopping the Si but couldn't find one to test drive! Also really wanted a hatch. |
Grabber Blue !!

Having a Hatch was one of my wants when I bought the SI....but it wasn't available with the 6 speed. The SI definitely has the better handling...it feels glued to the road no matter how it's driven. The problem for me is the stiff suspension is ok with a good back....mine is not. On the 25 mile ride back when I bought the SI...I was almost ready to turn it back in. No lower back support....this Hatch has better leather seats with more control over them. I'll miss the 6 speed, but I still drive my Prelude and Carrera with 5 speeds. This Hatch has the SI beat on 0-40 easily...silent, but just shoves. |

One feature that I like is it came with 'Car Locater'. If you lose where you parked or someone is using it for a short while, you can pull up the Honda app on your phone and it shows where the car is on a map to find it. (must have an airtag on it somewhere) . |

Nice lookin' car too! |
No, I only found out about it when reading the 700 page owners manual.:)
I'll probably never download the app....I've never had a problem finding my car and as I get older, I'm more careful with it. He told me about the 'walk away locking' which I don't think my SI had. . |
Thanks.
Big Mama and Bro won't find out anything worth while...they'll give it up in a short time. :D |

I don't think they made very many SI's. They are easy to spot because of the red letters front and back....but in 4 years of driving mine, I've never seen another one on the road. I asked the Dealer if they were going to get any in and he said 'no' and they have only had one other come in since mine.(4 years ago) They are only made in Canada. . |
Good choice on the hatchback over the sedan. The difference is very subtle but I prefer it.
My daughter has a 2023 Touring that she bought second hand and really likes it. |
