Who Are You Liking For FIFA World Cup?
I like Spain, however I think France will most likely win. What do you think?

Why does the US team have an "Away" jersey (sorry, kit)?

Outside chance for England since their coach is a Kraut.
Or Argentina if Messi can bring it one last time. But realistically - probably France. |

The USA ball handling skills and passing yesterday was impressive. Looking forward to Germany tomorrow.
Brazil has 5 cups, Germany 3. I'm thinking this could be USA's year.

Watching last night i saw one of the balls go into the stands. i remarked "I wonder if he gets to keep it?".
My Wife told me no, there's electronics in them that make them more expensive than your average soccer ball. Son of a gun she's right.... https://www.iotinsider.com/industries/smart-world/game-of-throw-ins-the-sensors-semiconductors-and-smart-tech-inside-the-fifa-world-cup-2026-ball/

I would not say that Brazil looked great. There are some great coaches in the national teams (has not always been the case) that could make a big difference in the knock out rounds. Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, and Carlo Ancelotti are all excellent tacticians (Tuchel probably being one of the best to set up a team when he has some time to prepare for a game). I think there are probably 6-7 teams that could win it all if they have a good run and avoid the injury bug.

I watched the US match and they looked good. Also watched the first half of Scotland v Haiti and a dirtier cheat filled half I have never seen. Those guys were grabbing, pulling, holding and interfering all over the place and the ref let it all go. Both sides were very fast so maybe that's why they did it but man .
So, then the flopping started. I moved on to reading Kelley's book "22 cells at Nuremberg" with the match sound turned off. I'm hoping the men's team can go all the way.

Go to PARF...likely to find Iran supporters there.

Lots of great stories about the World Cup pulling fans together and showing we can all enjoy a sport and party together.
It looks like Scotland and the "Tartan Army" have invaded Boston and are having a heckuva time!

You may not know the name Andrés Cantor, but chances are you’ve heard his voice. The Argentine sports broadcaster became a global sensation for his iconic “Goooooal!” call. As the world prepares for the World Cup, here’s a look at how Cantor gets his voice ready.

I am for France I'm really looking forward to the tournament. There always seems to be a surprise team that goes further than expected and makes things interesting. Picking a winner this far out is never easy. I had the Kenosha News open this morning and ended up reading football predictions instead. Sports discussions are definitely more fun than the regular news cycle.

I’ll root for the USA but don’t really consider myself a soccer fan. Too much flopping, drives me crazy.
