Aero Boobs

At the Tour de France Femmes. Apparently some kind of an aero advantage can be gained by padding one's bra. Who would have thought? I wonder if they need tech inspectors...

Extra clothing checks at Tour de France Femmes after reports riders may be padding bras for aero gains

Jury warns that particular attention will be paid to items of clothing that 'could modify riders' morphology' before stage 4 TT

Riders at the Tour de France Femmes can expect more detailed clothing checks before stage 4's time trial after reports that riders may be using additional padding in their bras to gain an aero advantage after the UCI issued a special warning about items "which could modify riders’ morphology".

Wielerflits published a story on Sunday about this potential issue, noting that riders have sometimes appeared to have a larger chest size during time trials compared to road races, and reporting that several WorldTour teams have voiced their concerns over riders' artificially changing their breast size using padding during races.

An increased volume in the chest area can have significant aerodynamic gains, as it redirects the airflow around the body, for both men and women...

I know, big boobs make me lightheaded, so there is that.

Reminds me of a story my brother told me. He’s been involved with luge since 78. At one time, the helmet they used, had a pointed top, like a conehead. It was for aerodynamics. They outlawed it for safety reasons.

It reminds me of the swimsuit tech that came out a few Olympics's back. The US built men;s and women's suits that had some aero advantage, I don't remember the details, was it structure on the surface, ripples or something?

They must be trying for bullet shaped bOObs. Also "Torpedoes" were a thing.

Cringe alert:
They were injecting something into manhood - search ski jump injection scandal and be prepared to have phantom pain in a sensitive place.

I think the only chest advantage any cyclist had was Miguel Inderain. (probably just butchered the legend's name spelling)

he had that amazing heart with a resting HR in the 20's, and abnormal lung capacity. that **** won some races!!

I wonder what his HR is now that he is retired and older???

Maybe he went to trail bikes and entered this? (Mountain of Hell, Swiss Alps)

It's pretty much accepted today that he was doping even more than Lance Armstrong. That's the schitt that won some races.

I stand corrected, it was a line in "Wedding Crashers" and it was "Are they built for speed or for comfort?"
