Cool videos, interviews with undercover LEOs "soft white underbelly"

my dad was a narc for a bit before I was born. Then when I was born, his photo was put in the announcements section of the TV with him in his police uniform, and that marked the end of his narc work. He never really talked about it much. I think he was only a cop until I was 4 or 5 and then went back into the Navy (had been for a few years when he was younger).

FYI, these videos are long, but I think they are both fascinating. The first guy has written a book. I'm usually more of a fiction guy, sci-fi, fantasy, but I'm going to check out his book.

This guy was undercover for the FBI, some fascinating stories and a fascinating point of view.

This is in a similar vein, but different.

This guy was a criminal, drug dealer in Houston and went to prison for 6 years and is now a successful comedian. He does standup and is hilarious, but also goes back and talks to prisoners in prison. His stories and viewpoint is interesting.

Mark Laita, the interviewer of "Soft White Underbelly", is one of the best interviewers I've ever seen. He makes his guests feel comfortable and open up about their life challenges. I love his videos and subscribe to his channel. The guests' stories are mostly heartbreaking, especially the ones he does covering those he had already interviewed and have since passed away.

I've started watching some of those heartbreaking stories (addicts, sex workers, etc...), but I can't manage to watch them.

I watched several of the undercover LEO guys videos, and now I'm on to the mobsters. I'm not generally into the mafia thing. I've watched a couple/few mob movies, but I certainly don't search them out. But these interviews with the mobsters are fascinating. Part of what I find so interesting is the details about how the mob worked, the vernacular, etc....

This is the video that flipped me from undercover to mobster. Joe Pistone aka "Donnie Brasco"

This guy was a killer, and eventually it haunted him which is surprising to me. He seems like the worst of the worst.
I still wouldn't want him as a neighbor.

This guy seems to be pretty reformed and is interesting. I could be his neighbor.

Ex mob boss. He still seems pretty intense. I don't think I'd want him as a neighbor.

There are several with this guy, but this is the only one that I've seen.
