^^^ Nice color.
I'm sure Glen would agree that the 3.2 engine is nearly bullet-proof. I've had mine for 20 years now and no problems at all.

One last pic I took of my 911 today....she kept saying "don't take that pic...it makes my butt look big"
(and she isn't even a turbo)

5 all together but only 1.5 get driven. The green car is a race car but, it is in the long process of turning it back into an aggressive street car. Plans change and now its time for plan B. The other air cool cars are in storage and only gets driven when I have the time to play musical car. PITA. The 930 is getting a reseal from sitting. That too have a hot motor with 30,000 miles on it, total miles is 51,000. Its a fire breather, 360hp at the wheel.
Green car is 2018 lbs with a built 2.7 (about 240hp) wind up toy with low gears built for the older POC V3 class. Wife, kids, and work got in the way and made me a dull boy. It sat. Slowly, I am making it back into a street car. Had it painted about 7-8 years ago. Its never been washed, not even once Need to source parking brakes and put that back on so I can take it to cars and coffee with a couple of friends is all I want to do now. Track days are pretty much over plus, the Cayman S is more fun with air conditioning. 993 T is sleeping, waiting for a VDO tech gauge. Housing cracked. I am jsut too lazy to look and plus, when I email some of these seller, they blow me off with no return email. So, I say, fook it, I will get it when I get it. Some of these seller pisses me off. Drive the Cayman daily, or my 4 runner. Bought the Wassa-pum-par Turbo S few years ago when my friend was getting rid of it for a new 992T. Drive that up Angeles Crest couple times a year or take my wife to dinner in it to get my frustration out. My older boy and I drive them at times for some cheap thrills. That's about it. I wish I go to the local bar, raise hell, start bar fights. Since I don't drink, 2-3 bears in a year max, I shelf that dream. No more tough guy. Spend my extra money on bicycles. Hell, I don't even do that anymore. I am such-a boring person

^^^ Things change when we get older....I hear you.
I'm down to my last 911 and I'll die with it....lol No reason to sell it. Your green car is what I would buy...lightweight and decent power is more fun than a heavy high powered car any day. Plus it looks fantastic. .

^^^ Nice....white looks great on these cars...esp with the color coded wheels.
I'm guessing that it's been trouble-free....as usual for the Carrera's.

New cars are fun, too much fun. They sure are different from the old aircool cars. You know which one I enjoy driving the most? The 930. Which key I grab if they were all at my house? Cayman. Easy, not flashy and I can park it at the market without anyone asking me any dumb questions.
I have had many people stop by to ask if I want to sell the 930 or the 993. Some idiots would not take no for an answer. I had two middle eastern young men, baseball cap backwards, basketball tank tops, drove up in a dodge pick up with half their bodies inside the 930 taking pictures without asking me any questions. it was parked at my rental unit when I was building it so I walked out to get them off my car. They kept insisting that I sell and that they had cash. He took out a wad of cash, Maybe a bunch of dollar bills, who the hell knows, and offer to get the rest of the money from the bank, now. I told them no and they should go. His final offer was "50k, give you now, sell me". Bunch of fooking idiots. I have no plan to sell any of mine, not yet. My older boy is just of age and shows interest on these cars. We go to Luft and shows at the Porsche Experience center. I don't want to give that up yet. We finally have the same interest. I am having a grand old time with my kids. The younger and I toot around on our bicycles, showing him how to ride. Last edited by look 171; 07-21-2026 at 02:39 PM.. |

^^^ Well...I have no cooling in my Carrera. No need for that in Michigan.
![]() When the weather gets warm enough....the roof comes off and stays off until it's put to sleep for the winter. Too much salt on the roads here to drive it in the winter.
