PET cd

Hi,

I have recently acquired a March 2003 Original Porsche PET cd. I don't know how to crack it, I tried copying new database files into an older PET install and it doesn't work. Anyone able to crack it?

Thanks

I am not sure what copy protection PET has, but I do know that you need to run at a screen resolution of at least 1280*1024. Try that. If it doesn't work than someone needs to hack it.

Hi Neilk,

Thanks for the reply. Ran it at 1600 x whatever. Resolution isn't the problem, its the "hardlock" programme which looks for a dongle being present. The earlier PET cd I have has the same hardlock system and has been cracked to run without the dongle. Need somone to do the same for this new one, then we can all have an up to date copy.

Ahhh, no Pete, you can keep your "updated" copy.
You see, a countryman of yours almost went to jail for selling pirated software (PET).
And you'd be wise *not* to post your intentions here. Our host (Pelican Parts) could also be in trouble for it.

Hi,

I wasn't planning on selling it. I received the older working version for nothing and if I could get the newer version working, it would be free too.

Just because you didn't pay for it doesn't mean it isn't illegal.

pskirk: As mentioned above, there is to be no PET CD discussion here, since what you speak of violates copyright laws, unless, of course, you are a certified Porsche AG mechanic. (In that case, you should ask Porsche directly about accessing their software).

Please refrain from such topics.
