Keith and Nicola's Wedding
August 9th 2003

August saw a wedding within the club!!!! Keith and Nicola tied the knot surrounded by sunshine and cars !! As they're both into their cars - Keith with his mini and Nicola with her slightly (!?) faster Porsche 911 Targa, it seemed only fitting that the cars were also part of the wedding ! Nicola organised for us to meet outside the church during the wedding as a surprise for Keith which worked a treat ! As they came out of the Church we could here Keith shouting "WE HAVE MINIIIS !!"

The cars looked fantastic in their wedding decorations, and drew a lot of attention from everyone that saw us !! We also saw the first evidence that the new BMW mini can hover - check out the video !!!

Am I the only one who actually likes this car? I think it was very tastefully done and would be a fun ride.

The car was created by a Canadian designer on a 928 chassis. Some rights were sold to a couple of guys in the Lake Minnetonka area who restyled it and called it the Spyder. Company was Spyderwerks. I drove the prototype around So Cal for a few weeks. It was a crowd pleaser. But I don't think anything but a couple of prototypes were ever built.

I love it! I would get it to drive friends and family around, replacing the 7 passenger SUV we have now!

Joeaksa 11-15-2005 10:34 PM

That looks anything but pleasureable. Plus when things get to feeling nice he is going to let go, then fall down and then wake up with a large headache...

Like our method a lot better...
