I've done some work on that building myself (my old office) - a mechanical platform redesign specifically. Some very, very interesting things in there. And I'm sure a lot more interesting things I never got to see. . .

One Wilshire houses the "Meet Me Room", among other things, where over 200 different networks interconnect. It's basically a major nexus of internet traffic for the Pacific Rim and beyond. A really really big deal. :)

It would also be a handy dandy place for folks to filter through and take a look at so many packets of data.

This is said to be the most connected building in the world. Almost every transpacific telecom line terminates there.

I work for a call center in the Philippines and we have 4 E-1's from 4 different carriers and they all end a One Wilshire.
