I'm sad to say that Grey left the planet last year, at age 15 or so...she was our little sweetheart. Her main goal in life was to be on Cindy's lap. The house became too quiet.

These two were plucked from a cage in a local shelter. 7 months old littermates.

Bizarre, huh? It was new to me, too... I forget how I ran across it... it's a McDonnell XF-88B Voodoo... I'm sure you're familiar with the F-101.

The McDonnell XF88 Voodoo was a long-range, twin-engine jet fighter aircraft designed for the United States Air Force. Although it never entered service, its design was adapted for the subsequent F-101 Voodoo.

McDonnell proposed a naval version of the XF-88, a two-seat operational trainer, and a reconnaissance variant, but none were built. The first prototype was modified to XF-88B standard, with a nose-mounted Allison T38 turboprop engine added to the two existing turbojets. This was used for flight testing through 1956, and achieved speeds slightly exceeding Mach 1.0, the first propeller-equipped aircraft to do so. Both prototypes were scrapped by 1958.

thank you, city of santa clara, for sending a nice police officer to warn me that I am not allowed to have a vehicle with dual rear wheels parked in a residential area without being "removed" from the residential neighborhood once every 72 hours, even though the dually tow truck down the street, as well as the two F-350 dually's two separate blocks away that are always parked there is legal. Thanks also, for making my personal use dually a "singly" so that I can park it in my driveway for as long as I want to without worrying about getting cited.

Love it! This is from left to right, Carroll Shelby, my brother's father, me at probably 2 or 3 and my mom on the far right. Carroll gave the GT40 to me but my brother's father took it. Somewhere in my papers is a picture of Carroll Shelby carrying me on his shoulder but I've no idea what box it is in.

Anyway, I've been a Carroll Shelby fan from way back!
