One neighbor of the proposal built a mass model of the project and all of the tiny adjacent homes. He had a whole two minutes to explain it, just like everyone else. It was pretty convincing actually. Made the proposed project look huge and imposing.

The six bedroom apartment/ boarding house/frat house/ unofficial dorm schemes are all terrible for the city and the existing neighborhoods.

Having spent a little time in Ann Arbor, I agree that more density would be good. But I also really hate that style of building.

The design of the building is not bad, you don't even see the two levels of parking in it. The six-bedroom units are designed for students only, not young professionals. The developer told every lie in the book and got called on it. They should have played it straight, would have had a better chance.
