They wouldn't be flying without their "monkey harness" on, (with tail strap to deck fitting) or without belmet / headsets. It would be pretty difficult to stand like that on a moving aircraft that is in a nose down attitude of the degree apparent from photo. The prop arcs are not to scale either. This was staged on the ground.

I took this last month while I was FOB hopping last month. Not as exciting as the others, but this is as close to the back of a Chinook as I'm going to get w/out a tether.
