Magpul quality isn't exactly "cheapass", however I do agree that storing mags loaded like this is unwise.

Not like I am an expert on mag manufacturers....they appear to be plastic and aftermarket, not military grade to my untrained eye....

svandamme 12-07-2012 12:14 PM

well Magpul is aftermarket and plastic, since they use a special polymer , and it's tough as nails.
And yes they are in fact cheap in price, not cheap in build quality.
Furthermore it has a really good follower that doesn't tilt like the one that came from the factory with my AR..

Those magpuls are easier to load, the follower doesn't tilt, and they are durable.

As for wearing out the springs.. It's all good if one shoots often and rotates the ones one shoots..

if there Magpul, your fine. I found an old G.I. 30 round mag that i loaded 20 years ago, fired it as fast as i could, no problem.

Man, does that bring back some memories. A reel mower was the first thing I ever mowed with when I was a kid. Probably around the same vintage, my dad's was a Pennsylvania brand mower. I think that mower was the basis for my "colorful" vocabulary, as I remember learning some new words as my father tried to start that sum*****. The carcass of that mower may still be out behind the barn today.

iv done a few questionable jobs in my day. this is one. Pic is looking up at the celing . didnt want to cut half the floor joist out so had to snake it around a bit. Another time I had to move a tub over to the other side of the bathroom. well with the plumbing situation i found the easiest solution was to simply run the pipe underneeth all the floor joists rather than drilling through them up high and it also acted as a trap. an 8' trap. worked fine no problem

man that looks just like a pic I posted years ago of a junction box I found while remodeling a bar. I cut it out, rewired everything and the owner hung the box/cut wires behind the bar. called it the octopus
