That is a 3.2 Carrera engine mated to a custom shortened 944 tourqe tube, tranny and rear suspension. I think it went into a VW Vanagon or early bus. I was going to do something similar for a 914 once too but never got around to it. It was going to be a 944 Turbo powered 914.
