Edit: OldE beat me to it. The F-4 (I have one flight as a back-seater, or in my case, a sandbag) is proof the aerodynamics isn't a science, thrust is.

That is an F-102 Delta Dagger. Yes, Convair. Probably the 327th FIS at George AFB in about 1957 going on the early short vertical stabilizers on the 102s in the background.
