This week marks another: the 40th anniversary of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walking on the Moon, on July 20, 1969. Did you know that they carried a slide rule in the Lunar Module to assist them with calculations? It was a 5″ Pickett.
I'm guessing the math used was metric and other scientific standards.

Umm, doesn't NASA use the metric system?

Yes and interchangeable...didn't they screw up a Mars landing when two techs used different systems?

I want to do something like this, but using the back half of a bug including the roof; has anyone seen one like that?

That sounds like a better idea, I just don't like this one all that much.

I don't see anything with a canopy roof over the seating (would take up massive floor area - like parking half a car in your living room). I'd build in some LED lighting, and pad the edge heavily to prevent head injuries.

Something like this, but without the trike stuff

I don't think anyone's done it because it would just eat up so much floor space.

Most people put a sofa or love seat against a wall, right?

Might make a great outdoor piece of furniture though.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1389478657.jpg

Best idea yet...........mount it on the outside wall, hang it outside the wall like a bay window (or green house window). Just cut a hole in the wall, blocking all around, and a good sized header. Hire a structural engineer before cutting.

Best feature, because it does not require a foundation, so a building permit may not be required.

Yes, I have had a half glass of wine, still a great idea.
