In reality, of course, she would have stayed with the money.

Ha ha.....interesting perspective but you make a very valid point! ;)

He inspired an entire generation of artists.

Used to speak with his son when Frank's mind had already started slipping. Was a sad time.

Boris Vallejo is another really great guy, cool as all get out. Did some stuff with him and Julies son David did a couple of things for us in years past.

Berserker, always reminded me of Jack Palance.

Wow Scott - very cool! I first learned of Frazetta's art while spending a summer away at college to catch up on a few courses I needed - shared a little place with about 4 other guys from NSB just for that one quarter in Gainesville. I had a fair amount of time to kill so read the entire Conan the Barbarian series by Robert E. Howard (with help on some of the books by L. Sprague DeCamp and Lin Carter) - I think there were about 12 of them at the time. Fascinating adventure tales - Howard was an amazing writer and Frazetta's cover art made the whole experience that much better.

I also was buying the Frazetta wall calenders every year for a few years and still have some of them stashed away as keepsakes....as well as those Conan paperbacks.

One day as my business endeavours taper off a bit I'm going to re-read them all!

Crom! ;)

Mine too - in fact it's one of the best movies ever made, IMHO. I even bought the VHS years ago. The Simon and Garfunkel soundtrack really made it, don't you think?

Fleishacker Zoo in San Francisco across the Great Highway from the ocean. Went there many times as a kid in those days. c1970 we were there watching the gorillas when a woman kept tossing peanuts at one of the male gorillas down in the enclosure some 30 feet below. She finally beaned the ape on the head and the gathered crowd laughed. Quick as a wink the gorilla picked up a piece of his own poop and flung it at the woman, hitting her in the head! It was one hell of a spectacle. The crowd really laughed when that happened.

My Grand Niece yesterday at Fort Drum. Her mother is serving, her father is deployed. This picture chokes me up for soo many different reasons, and being proud of my country is a big one.
