This actually is the P-38 Lightning(Fork-tail Devil, per the Luftwaffe ). A truly Bad-A$$ WW II fighter. Ret Gen Robin Olds is the only WW II Ace to shoot down a German plane dead-stick in one of these. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/03/2adasy8a.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/03/3u4ejy3e.jpg His book is worth the read if your into the aviation thing. Here is a pic of the P-47 Thunderbolt, this too is a Bad-A$$ http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/03/u3usuta6.jpg Thanks Kach22i for posting. Seeing these old baby's gives one that warm Fizz feeling. Both were huge in the European Theater. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

$5.00 score at the local Goodwill Store.
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/03/vare2aze.jpg Although he never flew a F-16, the signature was an added bonus. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/03/mesu8yvu.jpg And for those that don't know who he is, he was right there in the same group as Gen Chuck Yeager during the famous flight tests back in the day.
