Hey Jessica, why the long face?

I've lived in the west for 50 years - wildfires/forest fires/grass fires are a natural part of the system. They serve to eliminate "sucker growth" and a myriad of invasive species. I can't ever remember a year without them, nor does this one seem any different than any other.
