My dad flew P47's.... the base near them flew P38's
They were directed by the officers not to mess with each other in the air... Fat chance :D |

Yep, 104. Just bought this model in 1:18 scale. The model is 38" long!! Not bad for $40.

That XB-70 Valkyrie was way ahead of its time, from the wing tip aero work to the engine pod and thrust dynamics. Great, great airplane (from a fanboy's p/o/v anyway).
I believe that one of the last (if not the last) of them was lost when a chase plane essentially landed on the Valkyrie while the Valkyrie was landing. It might've been a 104, in fact. JP |
