A) I thought stripes on the sleeve were for designating years in service
B) Which navy was he a captain in? With the full shoulder boards, and that hat, I would say possibly Royal Navy, Victorian era... Still, Captain gets 4 stripes.

Royal Navy, c 1805

Hash marks are for years of service. Stripes denote rank. 4 stripes are a captain, 3 Commander, 2 and a half, Lt Commander.

Vipers and Pcars

Vipers and Porsches, both Raw and yet Refined.

The Viper logo here is actually a stainless BBQ steak flipper, custom cut by a true artist,

It's only 1 of 8 in existence!

Studley tool chest, I was lucky enough to see it in person a couple years ago in Iowa. A book has been written about it too.

Like the majority of guys on this board I lust after that. No way would I ever use any of those tools even if I knew how.

I would love to have met the original craftsman that bought it and watched and learned from him.
