iv done that on my homemade bedframe roofrack on the fiberglass top of my k5 blazer. My boss stood on the ground listening for bad noises but iv had probably 6 or 7 hundred pounds of boards on the rack so i had no doubt about my safety. Still it was sketchy just because the truck had some movement.

Figured those guys had a layer of braced plywood under it. But that ladder should be vertical.

I once encountered a younger guy hanging from street wires over asphalt twenty feet up with no bucket truck underneath.

I see a black one just like it in So Pasadena often. The swollen body was what caught my eyes. I wonder if someone's building the kit for it? Sounds pretty mean. I doesn't sound like a original motor

It is a kit, you can tell by the parking brake lever between the seats. Real 356s it is under the dash to the right of the drivers right knee.
