I’d do the same, making money doing the things you want with cars you love.

I've never been really all that impressed, all he does is get other people to fund his hobby.
He just monetized his hobby by making people think he has something unique.. he doesn't.
He has no technology
He doesn't put out any designs (his wheels are just outlined fuchs at high end price)

Unique, maybe not.
It doesn't have to be unique. It has to be beautiful in the eye of the potential customer.
Plenty of people have no inspiration themselves.
Like clothes, I buy those in a store. If I had to design and make those myself, I'd be in trouble...:)
A tshirt is just that, different brands sell them, adding their own print or variation, but they are just tshirts.
Gives people the chance to choose something that appeals to them, not someone else.

And that's a business allright, you provide something for which there is a demand.
Sell stuff, make money.

But you're not a fan, I get that. I like much of the stuff he does, not everything.

I read his book about how he grew up and how he started his business.
Kudos to him for doing what he likes and making a nice buck with it.

I agree G-man, He is just businessman making money. My wife was telling me about some 18 year old that just bought a Lamborghini because it was his dad's dream car, and he bought his parents a million dollar home in a nice area of Atlanta. All paid for by money he made making videos of himself and posting them on YouTube. He is taking in millions every year.
