What's not cool? He obviously kept the cars worth having... Either that or he had the pathologically wrong judgment to have a Boxster AND a c u next tuesday of an ex-wife. :D

Milu,

Only problem is that the photos were not on any island but were taken in America. Note the North Carolina license plates on the bikes???

Those are Avantgarde loudspeakers. The silver horns are Trio Compacts. The huge enclosure in the back is the Bass Horn.

Everything I have read about the Avantgarde models is amazing. I lust after a pair of their entry level Solos for my living room. Price is around $8k for the pair! Ouch.

OffCamber00 12-02-2004 08:06 AM

Oops bad link. Try this one:

I heard 2 Klipsch full range horns in a studio and it was surreal.
I have Paul Klipsch's original Bell Labs papers from the 30's & 40's somewhere..

It's a folded horn sub, the bends create a longer path for the bass wave to generate allowing for a longer path for the very long, low bass waves to generate before hitting your ear.

Cerwin-Vega makes a really cool version of this design called a "Bass Quake" that we used to use for DJing a lot.
