I just saw that green BMW on e-bay and it's making me think, Hmmmmmm, always wanted one.

They are beautiful, but except for a small number, all come with an automatic. Its a pretty heavy vehicle, and more suited to blasting down the autobahn than dealing with normal roads. The 12 is much nicer than the 8 in terms of getting off the blocks.
They had some maintenance issues (the engines are rock solid, just the other stuff). I nearly picked one up a few years ago. My senses returned when i realized that I would be buy a nearly $100K car for cheap, and having the repair bills for a $100K car.
