not at all. he's really a good kid. I had been building him up for weeks, he was making plans and telling everyone about it. staying awake all night looking for parts and talking about all he was going to do with it. totally committed to owning that car. I would have been pissed for a while also after all that. especially when my daughter told him in no uncertain terms that the first one was HERS and she might let him drive it now and then. it's his dream car and that dream was shattered with just a few words. on top of the world one minute and face down in the dirt the next. and I'm still laughing about it a week later

full leathers and all the rest of the gear... some bruises, maybe even an ego, as long as there's no oncoming traffic, this one might be ok

svandamme 05-21-2007 07:53 AM

oncoming traffic if you go out of a turn , i'de be more worried about what's on the outside of that turn... leather & helmet do nothign against armco beheading

Wow. I forgot about those wheels. What were they called again? I had those on my Mongoose. All i remember was that they were indestructible and very heavy. Forgot what color I had.

k9handler 05-21-2007 11:52 AM

Sun wheels or tough wheels if I recall...never had them on my bikes. Although I did use Spin, Specialized and Zipp wheels on my TT bikes in the early 90's.

Racerbvd 05-21-2007 12:02 PM

Correct, a photo of a photo of me in I think 1986.

The wheels are sKywat Tuff wheels and they are still around today :D

I had Skyways on my Predator for awhile. Im running Peregrine 48s on my S&M NextGen these days, those wheels are damned near indestructable.

Racerbvd 05-21-2007 12:39 PM
