One Sunday I'm channel surfing & here's Geraldo introducing "clinical psychologist" Victoria Zdrok to comment on Paris Hilton. Oh my God. A little work on google images & here she is. Pet of the month, pet of the year, playmate of the month, Ukrainian exchange student w/ 3.96 gpa, double majors in law & psychology, liscensed to practice both & she does a little soft core porn when she's bored.

This flight image sequence was allegedly taken during the filming of a Eurofighter Typhoon from a Hercules 130 cargo bay. Apparently, the director asked the pilot over the radio to come closer and closer and closer, until the pilot got fed up and whizzed right up to the entrance of the Hercules saying: "Would you like it this close?" [Thanks Jorge Mozo] [Update: some people are claiming this is a fake. It's not. Sure the plane didn't get inside the cargo bay, but compare the scale of the ramp and the plane in the last image. While there's an optical effect, you can see there that the Typhoon got extremely close to the Hercules tail, if only for a few seconds]

I don't know about that. I would think the air would be too "dirty" to do that. He would be in somewhat of a vacuum behind the C-130 and won't have air for lift or the engine intake. But I don't know for sure.

not so sure, with the ramp down, a c130 has a lot of drag, that's one thing sucking in air from over the fuselage to the back, then the air intake on the typhoon is below, ideally for getting air from under the c130... and the typhoon is probably flying very slow, needing very little thrust to maintain it's position

they do mention that there is a certain degree of distortion due to the lens
i'de love to see a sideways shot from a wingman or something,
maybe didn't have his nosetip over the ramp but i do think he came to close to be really comfortable

i think fod is more a concern then compressor stall

Using different focal length lenses or a zoom lens at different focal lengths can do interesting stuff to perspective which is what I think we're seeing here.

These two images we shot of the same stuff. Notice how far away the building behind the main object looks.

In this picture, notice that the main object looks the same, but the building behind it looks much closer.

Slow with that angle of attack one has to wonder about stalling the wing. Then if the wing is stalled, he is flying solely on thrust which would require a lot (see other VTOL planes like the Harrier etc) of thrust. He couldn't safely perform a "Cobra" like a Mig that close. IIRC that plane does have vectored thrust though. With turbulence from the C130 and the angle of attack, one would wonder about stalling the intake too, although there maybe supplemental intakes, speed too low to stall the intake etc etc....

Re: the airplane shots - has consideration been given that he may have only been in that position for a split second?

as far as i know, the typhoon does not have vectored thrust
