I thought it was a crow. There were plenty of these boys and girls at Yellowstone. You talk to them and they look at you like yea, I get it, I've been playing this game of gimme for a very long time.

We have crows that big out here. I don't see size being a good determinant.

Had a neighbor who has a body shop. He found an injured raven (wing) and nursed it back to health. Taught it to talk. They are extremely intelligent and can talk like a Mynah bird (sp). He said that "way back in the day" they would cut that little chingadera that goes from under the tongue to the bottom of the mouth and they would be able to sound almost human.
Used to see them dropping nuts from high up in the trees and breaking them and feeding.

I watched a documentary on them called "A Murder of Crows" (a murder is a group of crows) and it talked about these crows on one island that would make tools using y shaped branches. They would clip them down and use them as a hook with a bard and everything. Crows are very smart, and that is before training.
