An Alien Land

Well boyz it is about 3AM in the mornining and we are entering the hour where the soul is at it's lowest ebb.....

My whole life I have been a day late and a dollar short... how ever hard I have tried I have been a failure at this life. My Daddy has always told me I'm lazy and good for nothin. Mother always told me I am a worthless drunk who is incapable of taking care of myself. They have essentially have thrown up their hands and have abandon me to face my fate alone. I am now living in an alien, hostile land that is without pity. This place beats upon me daily and I have no refuge or source of comfort here as my own home has betrayed me and I am now fighting it out in the courts. It is only through the grace of God that I am able to maintain my precious bodily essence here.

For all my failings in life I have one saving grace and that is I have made a pact with God not to varnish the truth and stand in it's light. I will tell it like it is, and I will stand against all odds if I have to. But the light of Gods presence will whither any mans soul, for you cannot stand in the presence of God. It is only through his mercy that we can forgive ourselves.

I also am a believer that if one is truly sorry for ones failures, and ask forgiveness that one never makes that mistake again. That one has learned from it and is eternally vigilant to guard against repeating that weakness. For if you are truly sorry you never want to go there again. Now I am going to crawl back into my crib with that hoochie I picked up on Main and Fremont....

Sorry you're so depressed. You should seek help. That's my board-certified, professional opinion.

Some say the glass is half full; some say the glass is half empty. The true philosopher says the glass is simply too big.............

That's not "the light of Gods presence", STAY OUT OF THE CASINO.;)

There are no failings in life, just mistakes to learn from. And I have learnt that when we need help, the toughest thing to do is ask for it. Because aking for help is acknowledging a problem, which is the first step to solve it. Therefore, once help has been sought, the problem is on its way to be solved. The bums in the street very often refused any help, and still keep on refusing it, for some obscure pride that is simply ego. One night, around 3 am, I asked for help, not even to anybody, just to God, or whatever force was up there. The next day, I was on my way up from the very bottom.
The beauty of reaching the bottom is that you can give it a kick to go back to the surface.

All the best, Tabs

Aurel

Funny you should have mentioned asking for help. To ask for help is to realize that something is beyond our abilites, beyond our depth of understanding, to in a sense acknowledge that we are a dollar short and a day late on that issue.

I feel a 12-step meeting coming on...

The basis of twelve step programs. There are enough of them to fit most people's needs....

Those casinos are evil. At least the big casinos around here profit Native Americans. The modern equivalent of the firewater we introduced them to many moons ago.

The slot machine is what built Las Vegas...consider that for every dollar put in the house keeps anywhere from 1% to 5%. Thats all they need. Playing the slots should be considered to be entertainment... your going to give them your money...

The only 2 Casino games where the odds are even close are Black Jack and the Crap Table on certain bets. I think the best game to play in a casino is to play poker..your not playing against the house but against other players. The house does take what amounts to a seat rental fee though. California has allowed Poker to be played in the state because it considers it to be a game of skill and not just luck alone. What is needed at poker is patience, an ability to read an opponent, and to be able to know when to make your bets in a way to maximize your pots.

Nah, I'll die at 20.

I got censored.
If they can say it on public television, why can't I put it online?
