How is this related to Porsche 911 technical issues? I don't mind the government checking me out before I get on a plane....I'm more worried that they miss something on one of the bad guys. It's only when the government threatens to take old "junk" cars off the road that I get upset.

They tried to do this months ago. Delta stepped up and said they would do it. Passengers left Delta in droves after they found out that Delta would be collecting info and giving it to the govt. Delta then got smarter and stopped this idiotic action.
They can keep pushing it but as long as we have a say so in our lives and vote, who knows when it will happen. I am in the front of the jet (pilot) and can tell you that few us us agree with this as well. JoeA

These types of programs never work. There is a huge body of data that shows that 'profiling' is both ineffective and discrimitory.
The other problem with this kind of program is it always gets abused. Since 9-11 various government agencies have been putting out no fly lists. There have been many reports by people who are know political activists that have been prevented from flying. There has been no way to appeal to get your name off the list. I read a news report about some very common name like 'John Williams' and many people with that name got pulled aside and searched/questioned every time they tried to fly. The reporter had actually tracked down several people with this name that had been hassled.
