How the hell did we get back to the second world war?

Something a little more recent; in the investigation into the money trail (senate I believe) of who supplies terrorists, the senate was asking someone in congress (my facts aren't too straight as I just caught a glimpse of it) if the names of the "Saudi" contributors are classified, he said no the names aren't. The investigator asked what the names were, and the congressman said he didn't have them with him, and he would supply them the next day.
The next day, the names were classified (Bush).

On another note, a couple of days after 911 when all flights were grounded, and Saudi royal family, representatives and all their entourage (sp?) were allowed to take off, and leave the Country in several large and small jets from various parts of the US with Presidential approval, and no investigation of who the people were that were actually leaving the Country.
All this when Americans and everyone else were grounded and ones overseas were not allowed to fly home while the "investigation" was being carried out.

hhmmmm

Thank you for those responses, Jim and Bob, I appreciate them. I definitely think that the country that had the most connection to 9/11/01 was and is Saudi Arabia. No doubt about it, from the cause of the attack to the support for it. Some of us think that Bush has exploited the tragedy and squandered the goodwill of the world following 9/11 in order to further an extreme right-wing agenda in place long before the twin towers fell. According to O'Niell's book, (and you can call him a Bush traitor but I haven't heard anyone officially dispute this), the administration had a plan to invade Iraq from the day after the inauguration. ANd even worse, IMO, was that they also reportedly abandoned the Isreali/Palestinian peace plan completely; their official (non)policy was to, "unleash Sharon", a brilliant plan if you think about it, , and look how well it's worked out for everyone! That place is as peaceful as Iraq now!

If ever a President did not enter office w/ a mandate, (or even a plurality of votes), it was Bush. Instead of being a conciliator, as he promised, he has unfurled the most arrogant, dangerous style of leadership that the world has seen in many decades. And never from the U.S., unless you count Nixon secretly bombing Cambodia.

There is a horrible theme running through modern Republican presidencies of decieving the American people, congress and the world in order to implement policy that would never fly if revealed for what it is, from the secret war in Cambodia and Laos, to Iran/Contra and arming death squads in Latin America, to this current military excercise that has now become a war. And there is nothing really conservative about it, IMO, it is always sold as something that it's not to "security minded" voters.

Big deal, sodium cyanide. That does not qualify as WMD, sorry. Try again.

Regardless of whether it is WMD, it could be anyone's cyanide salt - not Saddam's. It looks to be Al Qaeda cyanide salt, in fact.

At the end of the article, it says that this terrorist had attempted to produce ricin...Hehe ricin. Does not that ring a bell ? There were just some mysterious ricin envelopes sent in senate this week. I would not be surprised that more ricin will be found in Iraq pretty soon. And there we have it, WMD problem solved, Bush reelected. Nice job, CIA. I can almost guarantee this is what will happen. And then, Saddam will be caught in september...good always wins against evil
