Had our yearly Canada West Weekend last weekend, and ran in the AutoX at the local mall parking lot.

It was very cool, as we had Ross Bentley as our guest speaker, and he spent all day coaching drivers, driving their cars, etc.

We also had a bunch of very cool Pelican Parts door prizes (Thanks Scott!).

I'm happy to say that after dicing it up back and forth all day, Ross only beat me by .2 seconds.

Notice the flying car.

That's above La Jolla Cove, right?

That place is on extremely valuable land and it's been boarded up and in a very poor state for as long as I can recall. Must be an interesting story behind it . . .

Bad picture of the garden.

-The thing growing over the arbor is the incredible cucumber which starts at the far end of the left box, about 15 feet feet away. Most of it has already died from a white mildew/fungus probably caused by too much water.
-In the second box on the right is a whole bed of ruined lettuce(oops) which is now going to seed in tall spires. They turned out very bitter to the taste because of the full day's direct sunlight.
-The brocelli seemed to go to seed instantly. Another oops. More learning to be done.
-The basil, oregeno, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, cabbage, rhubarb, asparagus, collard greens are still going strong.

Was pulling a 20", 10' long log up the beach at a friend's place. Had the rope tied to the hitch, but the loose end kept getting hung up on stuff.

No problem... I just wrapped the loose end around the spare tire mount on the tailgate. What could possibly go wrong?

Well, the rope could pop off the hitch...

No kidding. Dachshunds were originally bred to go down badger holes. Badgers are mean. They also have a heck of a mouth full of teeth. We have a long hair, dapple miniature dachshund. I caught him on our back porch once with a cornered rabbit. I yelled at him and when he turned to face me he had a mouth full of rabbit fur.

Our attack dog.

TS Fay

I took out some RC boats and let the neighbors kids run them in the streets.

This is the undamaged part of our neighborhood. There are some much more damaged areas further down.
