Thanks Paul! Of course I did:D

The drive was a part of the second ever Vancouver Euros meet. Most members drive BMWs, like here:

This guy in his F-150 came out of nowhere and decided to blow some doughnuts while we were staging for photo shoot, and I must say it was quite entertaining!

And one of us took this opportunity to photograph the rubber that he just laid :D

Anyhow, here's some more of the P-car. They haven't been prettified yet though:

Jim, I use that same data collector in my job. I am not a surveyor, but I do play one at work. And I slept in a Holiday Inn Express:D

I use a topcon transit instead of the nikon.

It appears from the reflection you are taking a picture of your P as you are driving it at 100+mph ?

VERY SAFE  http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/cut.gif

StevoRocket 05-30-2006 08:09 AM

It would be a good idea to remove it - its screaming FINE ME, BAN ME AND TAKE MY LICENSE!

}{arlequin 05-30-2006 08:14 AM

there is no way in the universe that a charge would stick just from that pic, even if you included an admission. too many ways to get out of it.

arcsine 05-30-2006 09:35 AM

"Uh......yes your honor...........I created that image in Photoshop. I would never do something as irresponsible as drive 130 mph on public roads while taking a picture of myself.". Case dismissed.

1 hand on the wheel, 1 on the camera button.
No other cars present, straight fwy, VI on patrol.

Car felt pretty solid at this speed, had a bad tire vibration at
100 or so :D

I promise never to do something so foolish ever again :p

bigrubberjeep 05-30-2006 12:28 PM

Who here can prove it was a public road from that picture?

Case dismissed, nuff said.

Icemaster 05-31-2006 03:20 PM

Are you ******* kidding me? Hopefully someone saw them...especially if they took teh time to tape on a note...

goat 05-31-2006 03:26 PM

Never did get the story on the note.
I presumed the owners put it on the car.
I would be a little shocked if it did happen elswhere and the owner drove it around then put a little note on it as he parked.

}{arlequin 05-31-2006 03:58 PM

sears point? that means it was someone's tow vehicle that did this??? probably also driven by a porsche owner....

unless it was a friend/visitor/spectator.

Icemaster 05-31-2006 04:36 PM

Either way, it's a weird note. Can't tell if it's the owner of the Porsche offering a warning or the owner of an SUV doing same.

Rich,
The guy I bought my Sport Seats from lives in Laguna Hills and he told me, in no uncertain terms, that I must make a trip to Crystal Cove some Saturday morning. Hmm, I may be in the area in late June. :D

I think it is warning Porsche owners to watch where they park because SUV owners cannot see behind them. The note being written by a Porsche owner to other Porsche owners.

Joe Bob 06-01-2006 05:41 AM

Fuch SUV owners....if you are in a tight spot...get the hell out of the car and LOOK behind you.

My wife has run over bicycles, luggage and a full crate of cleaning products.....hopefully she'll miss the kids and the dog.
