july 15th......global warming? ice age? what's the difference?
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1260157467.jpg Richard Francis before a massive snowbank on July 15, 2006. At an elevation of around 8,000 ft. near the Mt Lassen Summit Trailhead, this is what happens when snowfall exceeds the rate of melt. This event was localized to the southern Cascade Mountains of northern California and the Sierra Nevada. Similar events over several consecutive years on a hemispheric scale could even launch a new ice age. oops......i did not take this picture. mixed up the threads. |

Went up Mt Takao near Tokyo on Mon 21 Dec to see the sun set in the Fuji crater, described as "Diamond Fuji". The day was the clearest I've seen in a long time. You could see downtown Tokyo:

pic is 1/2 of total 5' x 16' display in a 3MB big bit pic - 24 T-5 4' florescent tubes 6" separated on center. The T-5 bulb had the cleanest light without any tint. My bro experimented with all different tubes. - blue tint comes from blue sleeves surrounding each 4' tube bought from Hollywood movie lighting store. Many colors available. - total 5' x 16' lighting box is covered in 1/2' clear plastic which is background for display items. The distance the clear sheet was from bulb affected the visual seen. - My brother experimented in a 2' x 5' box he made. If closer than the 6' distance the bulb shape could be seen from outside. If greater than 6' the blue tint washed out. He spent months figuring out what he wanted and how to build it. - A movie set lighting services construction boss looked at his final product and was shocked at his design and offered him a job. My bro talked to GE tech support etc. The display sits on a wall 15' behind front store window. He wanted something to attract attention from sidewalk and car traffic. He gets compliments on it all the time. The store is high end so called Hair Salon. The bulbs he used probably won't be any good for my 11' 4" garage ceiling but his info is a good starting point. He's looking into what I may need besides open bulbs throwing off clean light. Plus who knows what else I may want to trick out in lighting. - Glare is from sun. Center is clean. pretty good entertainment |

Hey Rob, my daughter also just turned 18 last week. And she is similarly blue eyed and brown hair (although my crappy photography doesn't show it)!
