Were those factory tires????

They look huge, like truck tires...

Hmmm, maybe it has 14" wheels?

14s with tall sidewalls were called a "Comfort Package"....same on 911s of the era.

EarlyPorsche 05-13-2011 02:57 PM

That sure is the comfort package. The taller sidewall makes a massive difference if you're just street driving.

I seem to remember the tire pressure recomendation was like 30 psi. Thing prolly rode like a Lincoln......what a waste of space.

You're right, they were 14" wheels with 185x14 Michelin XAS. My rationale for choosing them was a little more low end since at the time I liked to get up to speed in a hurry. I've since mellowed a bit.;)

They live in one of our horse stalls for now. Jack secured the roof with a series of wood panels with wire to protect them from god's other creatures.

Random video my wife took last night. I spotted the foxes, but she had the camera. We are going back tonight (near Dexter, MI) if it's not raining, and I'll put my 10X zoom Fuji to good use.
