Pelican Parts Forums - random pics that YOU have taken.......

This is the store in Gurley AL. that Granny, and Grandaddy used to own, and tend up till about 1983. The family sold it after Granny had a stroke, and required constant care at home. We always went there on summer vacation while I was growing up, where I would divide my time between the store, and the swimming pool. Some of the best memories of my youth were here.

Taken the morning I was leaving to go back to NC. after my aunt's funeral in 2009.

Do you remeber what street that was on? Although I'm in the HSV city limits, my mailing address is Gurley.

Kaspar and Wally are two more strays who adopted us several years ago. We have a soft spot for strays.

It's on the corner of Walker St, and First St. Used to be an old feed & seed store next to it, and the old post office was across the road.

Here is my cat Cody. He also adopted us. He is getting up there in years. He must be at least 12.

I found out he is actually a somewhat special breed called a Nebelung.

He is pretty smart. He can open the screen door by himself as long as the glass door is open. He never closes it though. :rolleyes:
